We are trying very hard to eke out any time for fun as a whole family that we can at the moment. Rob is busy working and working at home, the weather has been terribly rainy (and freezing), and we're dealing with a bit of sleep deprivation for the first time in our lives. There isn't much time for us. It's ok because after Sydney family time is going to become our priority again but such is life, sometimes it gets away from you. Last week Rob needed a photo of his work team for some media stuff and an electrician needed access to the salon to work on the power (that's the technical term for what he was doing, I'm sure). So we went down a couple of hours early and got a good half an hour helping Violet scoot around on her 'stooze' while Beatie slept in her car seat. It was a real treat for her because she LOVES the salon and she LOVES Rob's employees. Oh, and she loves scooting with her Dad. And I love coffee. Because we're so tired. If you have a baby, find a way to keep him or her in their cot forever. I mean forever, until they move out. Just keep building those cot walls higher and higher so that your teenager can't climb out. You know, just in case you end up getting a tiny visiter in your bedroom at 2am and 5am every single morning after you move them to a big bed. Do this especially if you have a tiny baby who still feeds over night otherwise you probably won't sleep for longer than an hour at a time over night and then your eyes will look like mine do up there: tired. We had a great time at Violet's little birthday party over the weekend though and I can't wait to share pictures in the next couple of days.

On another note, here's that picture I took that morning:

    1. Oh I'm very sad to say that here in Australia our weather woes are only just beginning, it's only been winter for 5 days! Nevermind, winter is followed by summer, or so i'm led to believe ;)

  8. Gorgeous pictures! Getting out and about in the fresh air is the best kind of family time, it's refreshing to everyone. I often dream of keeping my children in a cage. The 5 yr old STILL comes into our bed.
