We spent our Sunday visiting friends a little way out of the city for an afternoon picnic. Their daughter, Juno, was given a little (quite big!) jumping castle for Christmas and they put it up for the girls who were smitten. Violet is obsessed with bikes and trikes at the moment though so her favourite thing at Juno's house was her tricycle. She's in a climbing phase, just wants to climb everything. She has learned how to climb into her high chair, both safely and unsafely, and this day she wanted to learn how to climb on a tricycle.

We watched observantly while eating chips, dips and veggie sticks in the sunshine. The dads bounced in the castle with the girls. The girls picked dandelions to blow and the mums made wishes for them. And then Juno taught Violet how to ring the bike bell.
